Australia's Kosciuszko - On to the "Seventh Summit!"
This November Craig will be heading to sunny Australia to complete the last of his, "Seven Summits", climbing the highest peaks on the seven continents. He will be joined by long time climbing friends (1978 Indian Himalayan Expedition) Bert Brown and Ken Peters, as well as his father David Van Hoy. Craig would like to thank Bert for his generous financial support.
Mount Kosciuszko is located in the Great Dividing Range of Australia and reaches a height of 7,310 feet. The climb is a non-technical hike, but bad weather is always a possibility. It will take the four climbers a day to reach the summit and return from the trailhead. Stay tuned as they will be sending a dispatch after the summit.
We wish them all the best! |
