†† You will pass several major grocery stores on your way out to Mt. Hood. Remember to minimize foods that require lots of prep and maintenance. In addition to two days worth of food, get extra for breakfast on the morning of your summit day. There will be no breakfast available at the lodge. Bagels, cheese, salami, crackers, candy bars, energy bars, cookies, all work well and pack well. You might want to buy some Gatorade or Kool-Aid powder to flavor your water bottles. It's up to you.)
