Mt. Olympus: Itinerary

Day 1
Flights from home to Seattle, Washington (SeaTac Airport - SEA). Overnight at airport hotel or drive South to Olympia, Washington, and overnight in hotel in Olympia.

Day 2
Group meets at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast in Olympia. Equipment check and last minute food and gear purchases in Olympia. Drive to trailhead for Mt. Olympus. Hike a couple of miles in the Hoh rainforest and set up camp 1. Overnight in tents.

Day 3
Hike to toe of the Blue Glacier on Mt. Olympus and set up high camp.

Day 4
Summit day on Mt. Olympus! Beautiful glacier travel finishing with a sporty scramble up the summit pyramid makes for an interesting day. Overnight at our high camp.

Day 5
Descend and hike back to trailhead. Drive to Olympia. Celebration dinner! Overnight in Olympia or airport hotel at Seattle airport.

Day 6
Flights home

Mt. Olympus programs can be run in a seminar format by adding a day/night at the high camp. The extra day can be used to learn additional mountaineering techniques like anchors, crevasse rescue and ice climbing. All Mt. Olympus programs incorporate a summit attempt.

A final detailed itinerary will be e-mailed to enrolled participants 30 days prior to departure on international trips and 14 days prior to departure on domestic trips.
